Apple has announced a new MacBook Pro lineup for 2023. It includes 14 and 16-inch variants with a new M2 chip. The New MacBook Pro M2 2023 series has a huge increase in performance and battery due to the introduction of the M2 chip in this series.
MacBook Pro has a Liquid Retina XDR screen and a resolution of 3024×1924 px resolution. It has a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits peak brightness.
Performance
The new MacBook Pro is equipped with the new M2 chip which has booted the overall performance. Due to this advanced upgrade, the MacBook experience has become great. Switching between the apps, image, and video processing is very smooth.
M2 chip
The new M2 chip uses the next-gen CPU and GPU. Devices powered by this new chip can open up to 51 apps at one time. M2 chip has much higher bandwidth which has boosted the MacBook Pro.
M2 Pro
M2 Pro is the advanced version of the M2 chip. It uses a 2nd Gen 5 nm processor alongside 40 billion transistors. M2 Pro features the next Gen 12 core CPU and has 20% better performance than the M2 chip. The 19-core GPU has caused a 30% GPU performance boost.
M2 max
M2 max is the enhanced version of the M2 Pro, with better and more power-efficient performance than M2 Pro. Its 38-core GPU and 67 billion transistors provide it with 30% more performance than the M2 Pro chip.
A 70Wh battery is used to power the latest MacBook Pro 2023 model. The battery life on the MacBook Pro can last up to 22 hours. A 67W charging adaptor is provided for MacBook Pro with 10 core CPU and a 96W charger for other variants.
Ports and connectivity
MacBook Pro comes with three USB-C Thunderbolt, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an HDMI port, an SDXC, and a MagSafe 3. MacBook Pro 2023 supports the new Wi-Fi 6E which is two times faster than the previous version.
MacBook Pro M2 2023 Price and Release date
The starting price for a MacBook Pro 14-inch is $1999 and $2499 for a 16-inch MacBook Pro. MacBook Pro 2023 will be available starting from 24th January as mentioned on the Apple website.
