Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, discussed the challenges of designing an effective virtual reality headset in a speech. Afterward, there were many reports of internal disputes over the design and functionality of Apple’s upcoming device.

The tech giant has invested heavily in augmented reality technology (AR), which some suggest may be integrated with their VR technology. This article discusses what we know about the Apple VR/AR headset so far, and what we can reasonably expect it to include when it finally hits the market.

One of the main features of the Apple headset is mixed reality. The headset connects wirelessly to a user’s device. This allows the headset to display augmented reality content with a view of the physical environment. The headset is also fitted with sensors that track movement and allow users to interact with virtual objects in space.
